Premium in-home care requires reliable, discreet access.
Access details are collected only after a dog and household appear to be a fit. This page explains the minimum standard.
Confirm access after approval, before paid care begins.
Owners should not place door codes, alarm instructions, hidden-key locations, or gate credentials in the initial care request. Once fit is established, access instructions are exchanged through the approved client communication path.
Acceptable arrangements can include a lockbox, physical key, working door code, smart lock, staffed gate procedure, or another method agreed in advance. A physical lockbox or key can be preferable when electronic systems are unreliable.
Important care should not depend on one fragile point of failure.
A backup method may be required when a missed visit could materially affect the dog. Examples include a secondary key, alternate authorized contact, concierge or gate contact, or another pre-approved entry method.
Owners are responsible for keeping codes, gate permissions, alarm instructions, parking instructions, and authorized contacts current.
Reserved time may still be billable when entry fails.
If access fails, Stephen will make reasonable efforts to use the agreed backup method or contact the owner. He will not force entry, defeat a lock, climb a gate, or take an unsafe action to reach a dog.
A failed-access visit may be shortened or cancelled and may still be treated as completed reserved care. Repeated access failures can result in suspension or termination of service.
Only the information needed to provide care should be shared.
Owners should identify relevant cameras, alarms, gate procedures, household staff, contractors, or other predictable access conditions that affect safe entry. Access information should not be reused for unrelated purposes or shared beyond what is reasonably needed to provide approved care.
If an owner changes an access method, the updated instruction must be confirmed before the next care window.
Start with fit, not your door code.
Submit the care request first. Access details come later if the service is a match.
