Safe care changes with 30A conditions.
Heat, humidity, pavement, storms, flooding, wildlife, traffic, and the dog’s condition can change the safest plan. Professional judgment overrides mileage or a fixed outdoor routine.
The dog determines the safe workload.
Air temperature alone is not enough. Humidity, sun exposure, pavement and sand temperature, shade, breed, coat, age, conditioning, weight, health, medication, and stress can all change risk.
Care may move earlier when practical, shorten in distance, slow in pace, use more shade and grass, add water and cooling, or substitute indoor threshold, leash, settle, or confidence work.
Lightning and dangerous roads override the original plan.
Lightning, severe wind, flooding, unsafe visibility, dangerous roads, loose dogs, wildlife activity, or unsafe footing can delay, shorten, move, or stop outdoor care. Light rain alone does not necessarily cancel a session.
If the dog shows unusual distress, weakness, vomiting, collapse, escalating stress, or another concerning change, activity stops and the owner is contacted. Urgent veterinary care may be sought under the emergency authorization established during onboarding.
Meaningful modified care is completed care.
A shorter outing, shaded potty route, indoor manners session, calm handling work, hydration and recovery period, or other lower-exertion alternative may be the correct service on a difficult day.
When meaningful care is safely delivered, no automatic refund or credit is created simply because distance or outdoor time changed. If conditions prevent any safe care from occurring, Stephen determines the appropriate makeup or credit based on the service and circumstances.
Safety depends on current information.
Owners must disclose heat sensitivity, breathing issues, recent illness or injury, paw problems, medication changes, veterinary restrictions, anxiety, or other limitations before care. Water, a safe return location, and current emergency contacts must be available as appropriate to the service.
The handler in the field has final authority to modify or stop an activity when continuing would be irresponsible.
Good judgment is part of what you are reserving.
Request care and Stephen will review dog fit, location, timing, and service needs before promising a schedule.
